Historic NASCARs:
Born to Race
Welcome to the Official site of the Historic Stock Car Racing Series, an organization dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and continued competition of former racing NASCAR stock cars. We believe these historic thoroughbred NASCAR stock cars belong on a race track and not in a museum. Only in friendly competition can these classic stock cars be best displayed for all racing enthusiasts to enjoy, as a form of living history. The HSCRS invites owners of racing historic stock cars who share our group's Mission and Organizational Goals, are willing to abide by the group's Rules and Driver Standards, and whose historic stock cars meet the group's Eligibility Requirements to join HSCRS and register their vehicle.
HSCRS is also an organizational group which proudly and regularly offers the Ride of your Life (ROYL) program which in the past 15 years has generated over $200,000 to charities including the Canary Fund, Boost Camp of Sonoma County, Susan B. Komen Cancer Relief Fund, Innvision and the Air Systems Foundation.
Participants in the ROYL, are treated to an "E" ticket ride in the passenger seat of one of our authentic and very historic racing NASCAR stock cars, at speed, and on a real race track like Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca and Sonoma County's Infineon Raceway. All proceeds from the ROYL are donated to a charity.
One of the signature HSCRS charities is the Boost Camp of Sonama County and United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay. Last years "Born To Race" held at Infineon Raceway raised over $14,000 for this worthwhile cause. At our October, 2010, event at Infineon Raceway this we year we hope to top that.
Anyone interested in participating in this great cause can contact Susy McBride for more details.
